Hickory and Antique Playable Clubs by Tad Moore

Tad Moore introduces his Tom Morris Collection to complement his Star OA Hickories collection. These playable hickory clubs are for a player who wants a club that replicates the playing qualities of a more traditional Scottish club - but still have all the quality and and excellence that are the hallmark of Tad Moore clubs.

The Tom Morris clubs are modeled after the clubs produced by the Tom Morris company in the 20's and thirties, whereas the Star OA clubs have a more traditional American feel and resemble clubs such as those produced by The MacGreggor and Gibson company in the thirties. The flanged sole was felt to be better for playing off the lusher fairways found in the North.

Since 1963, Tad Moore has been designing and creating high-quality custom golf clubs for discriminating golfers. Tad has been recognized around the world as one of today's premier putter makers, and his designs have been some of the most popular on the PGA and International tours. A Tad Moore golf club is certain to become a valued part of your collection.

Tad's commitment to the highest standards led him to work with the world renowned Otey Crisman III to manufacture the heart of the club, its Hickory shaft. Otey starts with the finest Hickory blanks and turns them to make a straight, strong, and playable shaft. The shafts then are taken and matched to the heads with modern adhesives and the old style pinned hosel to be sure the head and shaft are married together properly. After finishing the shaft the leather grip is hand wrapped on to give you, the player, the classic feel of a leather grip. This individual hand manufacturing insures you the finest club available today.

Whether you select a Tom Morris or a Star OA club, you can be sure you will be getting the finest quality available.
